What are Business Rates?
Business Rates, also known as non-domestic rates, are a tax on the occupation of commercial property contributing towards the cost of local services. They are administered and collected by local authorities.
Our expert panel of Tax Specialists will look into whether you may be able to get relief if your property is empty and unused. Empty business properties are exempted from business rates for the first three months that they are empty. Industrial and warehouse properties qualify for a further three months exemption from business rates.
When checking for relief our tax specialists will look to effectively shape and negotiate business rates assessments, to ensure your liabilities are minimised. They are well-equipped to advise businesses on managing existing liabilities and budgeting for anticipated future ones, providing business rates advice during a revaluation period and throughout the property lifecycle, enabling you to anticipate costs, and know where you stand.
